Blue Collar offers an easygoing dining experience from start to end. We parked on the side of the building, walked in and were immediately seated. After a few moments, the server took our order for appetizers and drinks and we were served water. Our drinks and appetizers came out quickly- the staff was attentive, but didn't linger too long allowing us to enjoy looking out onto the changing Biscayne Blvd. Entrees came up in good time and our waiter checked in periodically for refills and to make sure we were content. For dessert, the Key Lime Pie was recommended and it didn’t disappoint. We washed it down with some Panther Coffee cold brew and our check came shortly thereafter. A lovely experience to go along with a lovely meal.

This being my second visit to this restaurant, I quite enjoyed going for lunch. It was much more cozy, calm, and relaxing than my first time. I’m glad to have the opportunity to visit again, during a different time of day. Both times the food was amazing, but I was much more comfortable this time. The entire experience from beginning to end was a pleasure. I will definitely continue to recommend this place to my friends and clients. I will most definitely visit again. A++ experience all around.

Our visit to Blue Collar began with a 45 minute drive south. We were not that familiar with the location and as we pulled into the parking lot we noticed it was part of a motel, which was under construction. This made us a bit uneasy, but we continued to the restaurant. This is a small place with 8 tables inside and several more outside on the patio. We were seated immediately and quickly appreciated the charm and theme of the restaurant. The Blue Collar theme with the lunch buckets on the wall and the chalk board menu really prepared us for a “Diner” experience. When our appetizers arrived we realized we were in for a treat. The Risotto Balls were such a good way to begin the meal. We knew from that moment that the chef had a special touch. We moved on to the Potato Latkes (pancakes) with homemade applesauce. I love them prepared this way and highly recommend them. My Mahi Mahi was prepared perfectly and served with my choice of 2 vegetable sides. As a former vegetarian, I appreciate the quality of these dishes. There are a few more that I would’ve loved to try. They have a few specials every night including the Braised Pork Shoulder. This Braised Pork Shoulder was the talk of the evening; that is until the bread pudding arrived. This bread pudding topped with the cayenne pepper infused whipped cream had me talking for day. I am typically not a sweet guy, but I would certainly devour that again. The host did make us promise to have the Key Lime Pie for our next visit. Great place, highly recommend it. Thanks for the opportunity to review a spot that we may never have stumbled upon.
