As a meat eater and a taco lover, I was completely blown away by how delicious each dish at Charly’s Vegan Tacos was. It really is an homage to Mexican street tacos, but with a twist of spices and flavors that you would not expect at a vegan eatery. I promise this place will leave you questioning whether or not you would be able to live a vegan lifestyle. Their dishes are colorful, vibrant, and you can really taste how fresh they are. I truly hope that more people give this place a try. You want to give yourself a break from meat and not miss all the yummy flavor that comes with it? Then Charly’s is definitely a must-try for you!

Right away I was greeted and seated. It was a full house. The waitress greeted us and explained the menu. She then came back with some water. After about 5-6 minutes and I ordered the Taco Trio where you can pick your own three. I chose the Carne Asada, Chicharron Verde and Al Pastor. I called her back after pondering because I forgot the drink. I got the Soursop drink and it impressed me. I felt like it was fresh squeezed as there was pulp. It didn’t interfere with the drinking. Elote and tacos came at the same time. The Elote was very flavorful and had a hint of peanut butter to it. It had mayonnaise, cheese and cayenne pepper; very authentic. I really enjoyed the pick your own taco option because each taco tasted great. I was fooled by the Carne Asada because it tasted like meat. I have added Charly’s Vegan Tacos to my favorites as it is near. I got the Strawberry Soursop Cheesecake to-go and it surely impressed. I finished half before I got to the door.
