Dining experience was wonderful. Our server was very familiar on the menu and food offerings.  We walked to the restaurant from the hotel we were staying at. We were seated right away and had outdoor seating as we had requested. The service was outstanding, and the food was even better!

From looking at the website and menu online, I had some apprehension about Crazy About You.  It looked a bit touristy commercial and the entrees presented by price was quite unusual.  The menu is all over the place from Tacos to Faux Risotto to Burgers and Tuna Poke and Baby Back Ribs.   I normally prefer chef owned/operated restaurants and typically shy away from Corporate owned or chain restaurants.  This one is owned by The Passion Group with a few restaurants in Miami and a few in Spain.

Above said, my dining experience was actually quite pleasant and the food very good.

The restaurant is located on the ground floor of a nice condo building on the Biscayne Bay in Brickell. There is some limited street parking and I was lucky to obtain a space directly across from the front door. There is a public parking lot across the street.  And, the building has Valet Parking.  Not sure if there is a special rate for the restaurant.

I had made a reservation.  But, showed early to see how they would respond.  No problem. They provided me a nice table outside on the upper deck overlooking Biscayne Bay.

The outdoor tables were completely full and even some of the inside tables occupied.  Was surprised how busy they were for lunch.  Service was prompt and efficient.  My server was in training.  But, you would never know it as she was knowledgeable and helpful.

All entrees include a choice of one appetizer.   The Appetizer selection is large – there are surcharges for a few of the items.  I inquired which is the best and most popular and the server recommended the Serrano Ham Croquettes.  It was a very good choice.  They were freshly fried with no signs of oil or grease, moist on the interior and crispy on the outside.  Very tasty.  I have traveled extensively in Spain, and these Croquettes were as good as any I had in Spain.

I chose the Miso Glazed Salmon as an entrée – Salmon is my fav and wanted to see how they would execute. The menu described it as glazed in Soy and Brown Sugar.  Although I was concerned the glaze might be too sweet or overpowering, it was actually well balanced and nicely complimented the fresh cut salmon filet cooked to a perfect medium finish.  For those that prefer the fish to stand out – you might suggest going lighter on the glaze. It was a touch sweet.

The entrée was accompanied by a mix of sauteed vegetables including sweet potato cubes, pea pods, kale, carrots, onions, scallions and chopped walnuts.  They were slightly overcooked but, delicious.  The walnuts provided a nice crunchy texture.  Note, they were sauteed in butter or oil.

The entrée portion size was appropriate and filling.  The quality above average and the service very good.

I inquired if they had a Cava by the glass and was told no.  So, I went for the Chandon California Sparkling Rose.  It was chilled nicely.  However, I later noticed that they list a Cava on the menu by the glass. Maybe an oversight by the server in training.   But, no big deal. Then Chandon was nice.

Overall, I enjoyed the meal and the dining experience.  Would definitely go back again.  Though, would not be one of my regular weekly “GO TO” spots.

We found street parking easily upon arriving at the address. We walked from the car up to what looked like the front of a hotel and saw the sign for the restaurant up a set of stairs. Upon entering the restaurant, you walk into the lounge and bar area. We found the host stand and put our names on the waitlist (the reservations had been full for days). We were informed the wait would be 45-1 hour and we sat in the lounge. We were approached once by a server and left to enjoy the ambience the rest of the wait. When seated, we lucked out on the best seats in the place- right by the view of the water and next to the outdoor bar on a beautiful day. Our waiter explained that the menu was a 2 course meal so every entrée comes with a starter- and all options were under $30! The appetizers and entrees were amazing, high quality meals. I had the buddah bowl (kale, quinoa, sweet potatoes, eggs and guac) and I was surprised by how delicious it was! Someone else had the chicken and waffles and said it was a competitor to the same tasty dish from YardBirds. We had a wonderful time!
