Our visit to Ethos is one we have done many times. Ethos is located in our backyard in Coconut Creek, in an outside shopping court at The Promenade. We understand that the food is delicious and on a Friday night we expect a wait. This gives us the opportunity to hit the bar for a signature drink. The Velvet Dynamite is tequila based cocktail with a jalapeño kick. Our group of six was seated and we ordered a Vin de Crete bottle of wine an excellent suggestion by our server Ryan. Our group ordered several small dishes which allowed us to share and enjoy the tasty dishes. The highlights were the Grilled Octopus, Grilled Calamari, and the Shrimp Scampi in a delightful cheese and tomato sauce which begged to be sopped up by the warm bread – I can still taste it!

The main course was served and smiles and constant “yums” were heard throughout the table. Some of the highlights were, my favorite dish, the Orzo Paella (which is a scrumptious dish with clams, octopus, shrimp, mussels, calamari, over orzo pasta with a zesty tomato sauce) the Rebel Lamb (lamb slow cooked in a paper envelope of herbs, feta, and vegetables) and the Lamb Chops (cooked to perfection – marinated with rosemary, thyme, garlic, and orange zest for 36 hours.) Prepared simply and deliciously – amazing! The evening was then brought to wonderful completion with their version of the triple layered cheesecake –yes served with 6 forks to be shared by all. The layers of cheesecake had walnuts and phyllo topped with a Belgian chocolate sauce. Great food, creative signature cocktails, in cool trendy fun atmosphere; I, we, highly recommend this fantastic delicious gem in Coconut Creek.

Ethos is located just off of the expressway in a large and popular strip mall development. Parking is readily available in a large adjacent garage. We visited on a weeknight so it wasn't jammed pack but had a healthy amount of guests. Seating was immediate and our server quickly came to take drink orders which were served promptly. We ordered several appetizers and shared them. The menu option for the stereotypical Greek dishes was mostly limited to starter options. Entrees were mixed but we chose those that seemed most Greek. All our dishes were great—though the grilled octopus was too tart. Dessert was described as being 'light' but was actually very rich. Overall, an enjoyable dining experience.

Attentive service without being overly intrusive. We were checked in on by not just our server, but the host and I believe a manager as well. Portions were just right. The taste and quality of the dishes were excellent. The décor was clean, modern, and streamlined. I loved the exposed brick walls and funky chandeliers. It had a nice, mellow vibe. Light, clean flavors fit in with the health conscious theme. I would definitely recommend it to people that live and work in the area. It’s kind of out of the way for me to travel to. At one point there was some loud banging on the walls and drilling coming from the neighboring storefront, it was kind of loud. But I saw the manager go over to notify them, and it stopped shortly after. It was a pleasant experience from beginning to end.
