The restaurant looks intriguing from the outside. As soon as we entered, we were greeted by a very friendly woman who escorted us to our table. One thing I distinctly remember is that I ordered a chicken and corn soup for my son, and it was so bit, that the waitress came with an extra small bowls to pour for my mother and I. The service is truly excellent here!

I went to Gold Marquess on a weekday, so it wasn’t packed at all. I understand that on weekends you get a lot of wait time. It’s a classic from Pembroke Pines and around. They have their own building with plenty of parking spaces. I had no wait and the server at the entrance took us to the table. Their menu is large. Very large! With many options ranging from different noodles, rice, soups, fish, pork. With their most striking items probably being the  Dim Sum cart and Peking Duck. The Dim Sum carts goes around the restaurant serving different dumplings, baos and rolls. When you order the Peking Duck they come with a cart to your table, it’s a fun experience to have. The peking duck is served with bao buns, cucumber, and hoisin sauce. For dessert I asked for the Crispy Buns that you can dip in condensed milk. I would totally recommend Gold Marquess for a family gathering or going with large groups. Also if you enjoy having different experiences going by yourself it’s totally fun!

We pulled up to Gold Marquess and thought they were closed. We were the only car in the parking lot. No one was there to greet us, but they sat us at a small table. We asked if we could move to a larger table. We ordered a few appetizers to start. Fried Pork Dumplings, soup dumplings and hot n sour soup. The fried dumplings were cooked well, but the dipping sauce was heavy on soy and light on vinegar. The soup dumpling were decent, but the soup flavor was lacking. The hot n sour soup was spicy and goopy. We ordered three main dishes: Singapore rice noodles, shrimp kung pho and Mongolian beef. The noodles had the correct curry flavor, but it was extremely salty and had spam in it. We left most of it. The Shrimp Kung Pau was better. The shrimp were very good quality, but the sauce was gooey. The Mongolian beef was really disappointing . They advertise that they are a dim sum restaurant and have maybe 20 different dim sum to try.
