The location is not the greatest, and from the outside Havana looks like a tiny kind of hole-in-the-wall place. But once you walk inside, you see that the lower floor is recessed and what you are looking at from outside is actually the upper dining area. While the service was a bit slow, the staff was all friendly and responsive whenever we asked for anything. The food was flavorful, the meat tender, the mojo delicious. Considering each meal ends up being two, the value is only increased. The grilled sweet plantains were thick and tender. And dessert was the perfect finish to a wonderful meal. Although we sometimes had to wait a bit, we were never rushed through our food or our socializing. A great place for a group meal.

The atmosphere, service and quality and flavor of the food make this place a very good Cuban style restaurant.

We had friends in town from Brevard County and brought them along, even inviting their brother and niece who have a home in Boca up to join us. On our way down I-95, I saw a restaurant advertisement on the off ramp that had me a bit worried. Easy to find the minute we pulled into the parking lot a nice young man was there to direct traffic; certainly a place that has well learned how to move people comfortably. Two of our parties had already secured our table and the hostess was most kind showing us to a comfortable table on the main floor of the restaurant which is actually quite small. Having never been here I did not know what to expect and on my way to the table spotted a steak and shrimp entrée being enjoyed and thought it looked really, really good. We were barely seated and our server Lily was there to greet us and take a drink order, which was delivered quickly. Lily was also happy to recommend items and I ordered what she said were two of her favorites - the pork tamal and the steak and shrimp combination. The first thing I tried was the taste of the garlic sauce that was a generous base for the steak and shrimp and wow I was sold. I was most impressed with Havana and will be dreaming of their Camarones al Ajillo until I get back again to try them. As my business travels steer me in that direction you may see me at their takeout window ordering a Sandwich Cubano with pickles and mustard.
