I have not seen a Shirley Temple on a menu since I was a child. For our beverages we all had Mexican Coke. The host then explained the menu to us as the menu changes daily and it seems as if everything was super fresh, homemade and local. We decided to order 3 entrees and share to get the full Jewell experience. This was my first time eating Red Grouper and it was perfectly seasoned and cooked crisp yet moist. The accompanying couscous was a perfect flavorful match. Lastly, we had the Basic Pizza which is made with organic flour, house made sauce and freshly made mozzarella cheese to which we added garlic. The pie was perfectly cooked and delicious. I loved this place and will definitely be returning with more family and friends.

My wife is pescatarian and we like to share – or else I would’ve gone with their burger, which they always have and is simply the best. Each dish was simple and thoughtful. No complaints on a single one. You can’t get Jewell’s food, quality, atmosphere or attitude anywhere else. On the way out, we talked with Jay and his brother who were having a beer before closing. They gave us some salt water taffy that they had ordered from Atlantic City for Halloween. Nice touch. There’s always something like that here: an aspect that is personal and different. That’s what made me love this visit to Jewell, and why I’ve loved every one before.

The flavors of every dish were an amazing work of art. Nothing was the usual. The chef knew how to blend the seasonings in order to get magnificent flavors. Usually I order my burger well done, but in this case, it came medium well, and somehow the meat of the burger was crispy, and so very very good. I am in total awe with the chef. The bill amounted to $120.00, but I was not, nor my sister disappointed in any part of the service or the food. I am thinking of another occasion for which I can drive the 1 hour to visit the restaurant again.
