Restaurant Pick: Billy's Stone Crab Restaurant, Hollywood
My family and I (4 of us) were a little skeptical that there would not be enough parking however, we found a space across the street from Lokal. Upon arriving at the door we were told by the hostess that it would be a 30 minute wait. We decided to visit a store next door and fortunately in 5 minutes they were texting us to be seated. We were greeted by a very friendly waitress (Victoria) . She was very helpful with describing some of menu items and also bringing a couple of kraft beer samples for my son to try. One thing that I also appreciated was a cute can that they had on the table with a "sanitized" label to specify that the table had been cleaned. We started out with 3 of the mouthwatering appetizers on the menu. The alligator strips and smoked fish dip were especially scrumptious with the sauces. The presentation of the fish dip was creative with the Tabasco sauce stuck in the middle to give it that extra kick.
We then moved onto our entrees which included a Lokal burger and fries, and my family had the Priscilla's Tuna sandwich, Cracker Cowboy Chicken Sandwich and the Vegan Jambalaya (exceptionally good). My son enjoyed the beer and I had a mint lemonade that was ok. Last but not least we enjoyed a very creamy key lime pie. We had 4 people waiting on us during our visit. The atmosphere was pleasant and very friendly. At the end, Lokal even presented the bill in a fun manner. It was placed in an old CD cover.

When I arrived it was about a 20 minute wait at 7:30pm. The hostesses were super nice and accommodated me on time. I only waited like 5 minutes for the waitress to attend me and my friend. The food came out about 30 minutes and everything was so delicious. The restaurant was full, but everyone is pretty spread out, so It was a safe environment and all the tables and utensils we’re properly sanitized. Also a nice detail the waitress brought the check in a DVD case so it was a nice detail.

I always have a great experience at Lokal. It is my go-to place when craving a serious craft burger. When I arrived during my visit, the hostess was very pleasant and immediately seated us at our preferred outdoor area. Soon after, we got water and our server arrived a few seconds later. He was able to explain the concept of Lokal to my friend and offered us if we wanted to order some drinks, we surely did! We got a couple of craft beers from local south Florida breweries; beer was cold and refreshing for a muggy Miami night. We quickly ordered our food. The portion of our meal was very generous, from the app to the main meal…including dessert! You can tell management and staff take pride of what they offer. I really like Lokal’s parent company concept in sourcing local ingredients – they really do make a difference. My friend and I enjoyed our visit to Lokal, considering going more often to try other thing on the menu other than burgers.
