Love Life is in a unique area. If you are vegan I would definitely recommend checking it out.

We approached the register and asked for a menu and were told we can scan one on our phone. After deciding what we wanted we placed our order. Our food arrived fairly quickly. The food was decent, I wouldn’t seek it out again but would absolutely recommend to someone who is vegan.

Love Life Cafe is a breath of fresh air in an early stage transitioning area on the edge of Wynwood. Bright welcoming store front and a pleasant contemporary interior.  Ordering is at counter near entrance.  As first timer, I requested recommendations.  First order taker was new and suggested I get recommendations from his coworker.  She identified three of the best-selling items and encouraged me to try their signature house made vegan burger.  Ordering was easy and efficient.  They give you a number to place on the table for delivery of food.  All items arrived simultaneously (except dessert which I purposely ordered subsequent to my meal).

The Pizza Verde was yummy.  Very thin artisan style crust with distinct layers of taste provided by the basil pesto, “Parm” crumbles and cashew based cream sauce.  Suitable size to split.

Next was the “superfood: house made veggie burger. As an avid “meat” based burger eater, I was apprehensive what to expect.  Although clearly little resemblance to my juicy rare and bleeding cow burgers, it was actually very tasty with a pleasant consistency.  It also had extra layers of tased complimenting the relatively bland veggie burger (bland being good!).  I liked that the burger itself was not loaded with garlic and strong seasonings like other veggie burgers I’ve tried.  The separate flavor layers provided by the guacamole, fresh pickles, plant based oozing cheddar and marinated kale were refreshing and very tasty.

The burger was accompanied by sweet potato fries (actually like tater tots).  These were very sweet - too sweet for me.  But, when dipped in the provided cilantro aioli, it cut the sweetness making them pleasant to eat. The sunshine spice smoothie was fresh and pungent from the turmeric and ginger.  Although not to my personal taste liking, it was refreshing.  Also, the consistency was a bit thick for me.

Lastly was the mudslide (faux) cheesecake.  Much too sweet for my palette.  But fresh and nicely presented with fresh strawberry slices and a coffee chocolate drizzle.

Overall a pleasant dining experience with good customer service and fair and reasonable pricing. I can understand why vegans would frequent Love Life Cafe for fresh, tasty creatively designed dishes.  But, I need my meat and cheese!

There was plenty of street parking available by the restaurant when I arrived but it was packed so took me a minute to find parking. When you walk inside, there is a counter to order from but the line was longer so I looked at the menu on my phone while waiting. I ordered jackfruit tacos and grabbed a café made gingerade from the fridge. The water and napkins are self serve so I chose a table and got set up with those items. There were a lot of people heading outside and later, on my out, I saw that there is a very large back area with benches and other shops around. It took about 15 minutes for my food to come and my order came with 3 tacos and a bowl of sweet potatoe fries with a cilantro sauce. The tacos were well seasoned and the dipping sauce was amazing. This place would be great to eat and chill on a more calm day. People were there with laptops and books and the store sold clothing and some pet things as well. People also had their pets with them outside. I enjoyed my time.
