Highly recommend Mignonette. We arrived at the front of the Mignonette, and immediately found street parking, which is a real plus in Miami. (We were running a little late and called Mignonette and they were happy to accommodate). Upon entering the Mignonette, the hostess pleasantly greeted us and escorted us to our table. The tables were spaced with significant distance between each which allowed for a more private conversation and safer experience.

Mignonette is a shellfish lover’s dream come true. The Lobster Deviled Eggs were divine. Six halves were served, each with tender lobster atop. Although we were only two people there was no leaving one behind! Next came Oysters Frank, served in half shells, the oysters were baked with monchego cheese and smoked bacon. The combination of the oysters, cheese and bacon were decadent, reminiscent of fancy potato skins with caviar. (Oysters Frank are an excellent choice for people who do not eat raw oysters.) Next up were the Clams Casino, a generous portion of tender claims in the shell cooked in a light white wine and butter broth. This dish was served in a large bowl with fresh French bread, which made for great dipping in the light broth. The finale was the gumbo of the day, this evenings was shrimp with fried chicken skins. The stock was tasty and fortunately not salty, the shrimp were tender and the fried chick skins added a unique and unexpected texture to the gumbo, which made the gumbo extra delicious. The quality of the food was outstanding, the portions were significant and the price in relation to the quality and portions is appropriate.

The ambience at Mignonette is lively and quite comfortable, a great choice for a fun date or catch-up with a group of close friends. The service is excellent. Mignonette’s staff were very accommodating to an anaphylactic food  allergy and another food sensitivity. The staff was very knowledgeable about the ingredients in each dish and made recommendations of safe dishes and were also able to vary ingredients to ensure a safe and fabulous experience at Mignonette!

The moment that I entered the restaurant, I felt like a sense of excitement came over me because of the setup of the restaurant. There are items that you typically see in an esteemed restaurant such as chandeliers, and the open kitchen concept, yet Mignonette also offered a sense of comfort. Upon waiting for my food, I noticed that they restaurant felt like a good choice for  both families  and for dates. The food itself was delicious. The scallops along with Brussel sprouts and bomba rice was a perfect combination. I highly recommend ordering the scallops!

Started with mussels in while wine (so good, ordered another). For main course the lobster roll looked so appetizing and tasted even better (served warm with butter). My friend had crispy skin snapper prepared fresh and moist and served with roasted cauliflower. The key lime pie was homemade (just the right amount of sweet and tart and amazing graham cracker crust). Our service was fun and extremely attentive and great with suggestions!
