We drove up and our car was valeted. We were about 15 mins early for our reservation, and they were able to cater to us right away and seated us. We were asked for our drinks right away and they came back out promptly. We looked around and the restaurant just gives the feel of comfort of an old-time steakhouse. We had a nice comfortable booth, that was dimly lit. It was the perfect date night that we both needed after a long week. The waitress came over with all the different types of steaks they offered and explained all the different cuts to us. We decided we would go with the porterhouse steak for two and opted for the gorgonzola cheese crust. The waitress mentioned the kitchen could cut our steak for us if we would like and we both decided to go for it. Our entrée came with two salads and two sides (I ordered the baked potato with sour cream and chives and my husband order the steak fries). We then received warm rolls and our salads came out on chilled plates and another waiter came out to give us some fresh pepper on our salads. The waitress probably came over two times to re-fill our drinks before we were even finished. We received our steak and our sides, we both looked at it in awe as it was perfectly sliced and just looked delicious with the gorgonzola crust topping. I took a bite and the steak literally just melted in my mouth; the topping went perfectly with the prime meat. We were both very happy with our choice. We were both extremely full with the 37 ounces. So, if you are going there definitely give that a try if you do not mind sharing. The waitress brought over the homemade desserts on a platter, and we knew that we would be back for the coconut cream pie! We were both completely satisfied with our meal and we will be back very soon. I would like to also mention that there was a flyer for Thanksgiving on the table and we decided that we will be having Okeechobee Steakhouse catering our Thanksgiving for us!

The restaurant is indeed very popular and busy, a reservation is highly recommended. The staff members were very presentable and knowledgeable. The food was plentiful and delicious. I loved the steak presentation. Everyone was informative. All in all, a very enjoyable experience. But the restaurant is only for that special occasion. I almost choked on my cheesecake when I got the bill, make sure you have enough cash on your credit card. It was a delightful evening and hopefully someday I will return.

Complimentary valet parking sets the tone for an old-fashioned steakhouse experience with steak connoisseurs in mind. Its complete with great waiter service that includes demonstration of their signature cuts brought to your table to choose. The steak portion sizes range from large to extra-large. They have good size sides and huge desserts. This is a throwback steakhouse with quality in mind.
