My guest and I arrived at Rocksteady Jamaican Bistro around 6:45PM on a Saturday. We had no problems finding a parking space since we were a bit early for dinner. In front of the restaurant there were some small outdoor tables with white table clothes appointed with silverware and decorative glasses. There were a couple of other patrons already there when we entered. The establishment had a distinct aroma of pimento wood that scented the dimly lit dining area accompanied by the smooth sounds of relaxing reggae playing softly in the background. We were greeted by a friendly hostess and permitted to choose any table we wished to have. I found this to be nice and uncharacteristic of most restaurants where seating is usually assigned. We selected one of the booths along the wall which had a dark wood table with a wooden pepper mill and rock salt mill. It was also appointed by a small oil lamp. The wood furniture throughout the establishment was eclectic in a stylish way with an island flair using colorful throw pillows in each booth. To add additional color, interesting plants and succulents were tastefully positioned throughout dining area. The combination of the music, colorful décor, and the overall casual atmosphere immediately made my guest and I feel relaxed and totally at ease before we had eaten or drank anything. It is top quality, portion size, and freshness of the expertly prepared dishes we enjoyed. This was not just a meal for us, but an experience. The combination of soothing reggae, subdued lighting, interesting décor, nice wine, great food, great service, and a delightful dessert really made our visit to Rocksteady Jamaican Bistro memorable. They say that when you visit Jamaica you leave feeling refreshed, relaxed, and happy. I say whenever I leave Rocksteady Jamaican Bistro I feel that way too.

They had limited parking and a small dining area, the place looks very clean and the lighting was dark and intimate.
