We got to park right in front (3 for 3) – it was not too hot, so we chose to sit outside on the bench together. Our waitress was nice, and we enjoyed the service (she laughed along with us). The food runner was engaging. Food was delicious and my dessert (cookies and cream) was among the best desserts I’ve ever had.

As we arrived in the Pineapple Grove area of downtown Delray Beach we were happy to find street parking directly across from the restaurant. We were met at the restaurant by the hostess who sat us outside and asked us to pick our table which we appreciated.

Our waiter Rahim then brought us our menus and cocktail, wine list and asked if we needed a few minutes which we did. He advised that it was happy hour which meant they take 20% off all food and drink. We then ordered a Campari and soda and Super Tuscan wine. They were prepared nearby at the outside bar and were brought to us promptly.

After looking at the appetizer menu we chose the lamb meatballs .They were served with homemade marinara that was so fresh tasting. And arrived in a miniature cast iron skillet . The lamb was a nice change from the usual meatball and were very flavorful. They were accompanied by the best wood fire charred, crusty bread to scoop up the sauce.

We then perused the menu and then asked the waiter what some of the most popular dishes were. He suggested the short rib pappardelle which my husband was already going to choose. I told him I prefer fish and he suggested either salmon or the Branzino and I chose the Branzino.

The entrees arrived in a very timely yet not rushed manner and were beautifully plated.

The Mediterranean Branzino was seared to perfection and beautifully presented atop  (al dente cooked) pea risotto and drizzled with the arugula crème sauce. Crispy moist and over the top delicious!

The Short Rib Pappardelle was superb! All the pasta is made in house and we watched the pappardelle being made before being seated! The plated dinner was beautiful with the most delectable melt in your mouth short rib and the  al dente fresh pasta was lightly coated with the most divine truffle sauce! The side of broccolini was fantastic as well, charred and perfectly seasoned. Dessert Tiramisu was decadent with layers of lady fingers dipped in coffee, whipped mascarpone cheese.  Moist delicious and beautiful to look at

My husband and I agreed that this was the best meal we have experience since returning from our trip to Rome and the Amalfi coast last year. Our waiter thanked us for coming and asked us to please come again which we most certainly will .!

It was an enjoyable experience overall for my wife and I. The service and quality of the food was good. The décor and atmosphere was very good. The food was good quality but no one dish stood out as one of  the best we’ve ever had. None were in the top 5 in any one category. I will add that we are probably picky as we’ve tried some of the best dishes from around the world. Overall, because of the quality of the food, the atmosphere, and the service I would recommend trying this restaurant when in Delray Beach.
